Original Sewing & Quilt Expo to start on Nov 11

After 15 years of steady innovation and growth, Original Sewing & Quilt Expo has become known as the place to go for everything related to sewing machine, quilting machine, machine and hand embroidery machine, fiber and needle arts. The Expo, a public event attended by thousands of treasure and inspiration-seekers, returns to Kansas City, Missouri (Oct. 21-23) and Minneapolis, Minnesota (Nov 11-13) this autumn, with more for enthusiasts than ever before.

Yes indeed sewing is alive and well, and for annual visitors to Original Sewing & Quilt Expo there's much to do and see that's new.

For instance, the "For Rookies" workshop series, shares the essential basics of quiltmaking, home decor sewing, surface design, sewing for kids and more, while advanced technique classes keep experienced enthusiasts moving ahead creatively and technically. If attendance is any indicator, more people than ever before are sewing and quilting – everyone from shy dabblers to bona fide experts is out there, seeking more satisfaction and creative fulfillment at the Expo.

In the Exhibit Hall, attendees try the latest products and learn about the projects they inspire as they hunt for their next projects' treasures in retail booths throughout the Expo. In just three days, they'll stock up for a year's worth of stitching pleasure.

All in all, there's something at the Expo for everyone, with nearly 200 classes and workshops, designers, suppliers and retailers from across the country sharing the latest tools, supplies,
equipment and techniques, runway fashion shows, how-to demos and great displays in the Expo Galleries.
