Fong’s Group to Supply Textile Machinery to Chinese Lu Thai

Hong Kong-based Fong’s Industries Group, involved in design, manufacture and sale of dyeing and finishing machinery for textile industries, has announced that it has been selected by Chinese textile manufacturer Lu Thai Textile Co Ltd. and its subsidiary Lu Feng Co Ltd. for procuring equipment for their expansion project.

Fong’s Group said it will supply full range of dyeing and finishing equipment for the Chinese companies’ expansion project for manufacturing of high quality piece dyed and yarn dyed fabrics.

The equipment to be supplied by Fong Group will include Fong’s Allwin and Labwin series package/beam yarn dyeing machines and RF radio frequency dryer; Monfongs’s 6500 stenter and Monfongtex 868 shrinking range; Goller Complexa continuous desizing, scouring and bleaching range, Desiza continuous desizing range, Cadena chain/chainless combined mercerizing range, Colorapad-steam range and Effecta continuous washing range.

Fong’s Group has been supplying textile manufacturing equipment to Lu Thai for around two decades. The decision of the Chinese companies to procure the products for their expansion project from Fong’s reflects the faith of the industry in Fong’s philosophy of providing “One-stop green innovation”.

The affluence of customers was huge, even with more customers enhancing active projects.

Many visitors came from India, Pakistan, Middle-East, Gulf countries, North and Latin Americas. The attendance from Europe and Asia was as expected, with a limited number of Chinese customers present at the event.

Several businesses have been concluded during ITMA, names are not available for the moment.

TechnicalTextile.Net receives tremendous response at Techtextil India


TechnicalTextile.Net, the first ever Global Portal with detailed information for over 200 products in the technical textiles and nonwovens sector participated in the recently concluded Techtextil India held in Mumbai. The company received tremendous response from domestic and international visitors and attracted around 1,200 visitors during the three-day event.


Most of the visitors were from textile companies who were looking to diversify their business and enter into the nascent but lucrative segment of technical textiles. Project and Market Reports on Spunbond Nonwovens and Baby Diapers offered by the company were the key attraction for the visitors. Among visitors, upcoming entrepreneurs from Surat and Icchalkaranji textile hubs too visited the stall to gain knowledge about the technical textiles products.


The booth was visited by representatives of Major Indian and Global companies like, Siyarams, Arvind, Century Rayon, Indorama Ventures, SRF, Clariant, Huntsman, Garware, Dow Chemicals, Teijin, Staubli, and others.


Among senior Industry stalwarts, Mr Dilip Jiwrajka, MD of the Rs 64 billion plus Alok Industries took keen interest and discussed the future and prospects about the industry with Dr. PR Roy, our Director.

ITMA surpasses our expectations – CEMATEX President


The international textile and garment machinery industry converged for the 16th edition of ITMA, the world’s most established textile and garment machinery technology exhibition in Barcelona, Spain from 22 to 29 September 2011.

Trade visitorship of over 100,000 from 138 countries was registered for the eight-day event held at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via fairgrounds. Just over 90 per cent of the visitors came from outside of Spain. The international mix of visitors and buyers was very well received by exhibitors.

Mr Stephen Combes, President of CEMATEX said, “ITMA 2011 has surpassed our expectations. Considering that the world is still facing economic difficulties, the vast majority of our exhibitors are delighted with the quality and the number of visitors. According to our national associations, their members have reported significant enquiries and many have taken even more orders than they hoped for.

“The textile and garment industry must be commended for its resilience and willingness to invest and to innovate. The sales and serious enquiries generated from qualified international visitors are greatly appreciated by the exhibitors, and our participants have all given a very positive response to the show.”

A delighted exhibitor, Mr Attilio Camozzi, President of Marzoli, commented: "A lot of commercial negotiations have started and orders have been finalised for approximately 30 million euros with customers from Argentina, India, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan."

ITMA fan Datatex Tweets in Appreciation



‘Innovation rules the world’ is the tweet that any ITMA participant would make after having visited the exhibition that recently concluded in Barcelona- Spain.

Amongst myriads of the biggies that Fibre2fashion team interviewed at the event, Mr. Ronnie Hagin, CEO, Datatex Textile Information Systems Inc, has the same say. Mr. Hagin expresses- “The market is more forward looking than before, and in spite of the financial crisis, companies have understood that the formula for long term success is to invest in new technology, not only productive but also in management system technology like ERP and controls to assure they can serve the new market demands for shorter runs, minimal lead time and still higher quality.”

Further elucidating his point, the CEO describes – “ITMA was a great opportunity to present our unique web ERP solution for the textile and apparel market.
