‘Innovation rules the world’ is the tweet that any ITMA participant would make after having visited the exhibition that recently concluded in Barcelona- Spain.
Amongst myriads of the biggies that Fibre2fashion team interviewed at the event, Mr. Ronnie Hagin, CEO, Datatex Textile Information Systems Inc, has the same say. Mr. Hagin expresses- “The market is more forward looking than before, and in spite of the financial crisis, companies have understood that the formula for long term success is to invest in new technology, not only productive but also in management system technology like ERP and controls to assure they can serve the new market demands for shorter runs, minimal lead time and still higher quality.”
Further elucidating his point, the CEO describes – “ITMA was a great opportunity to present our unique web ERP solution for the textile and apparel market. We were reassured that our offerings are unique and our 'NOW’ (Network Oriented World) product line proves this point. Datatex is the only company who has gone into such big investments remaining loyal to our market and under the same ownership since our founding in 1987.”
He, appreciating the exhibition and the “exceptionally well’ response that Datatex got, also divulges that at the event itself, they were able to crack an important deal and ink contract with a new Latin American customer. “I am sure we managed to set a record, by signing a contract 5 minutes past show closing time on September 29th at 7.05PM. We look back to a successful show and going to some really good locations. So, we have brought back with us some really good memories,” gushes Ronnie.
