DORNIER to display five weaving machines in China

July 22, 2008 (Germany)
After the remarkable ITMA 2007 held in Munich, which exceeded all expectations, the textile industry is looking forward eagerly to the ITMA Asia + CITME 2008 textile machinery trade show taking place in Shanghai at the end of July 2008.

Lindauer DORNIER GmbH will participate with two attractive stands representing the company’s product groups “weaving” and “finishing” machinery. In total five DORNIER weaving machines can be seen at the show. Three machines, which are all highly relevant to the Asian market, will be displayed on the DORNIER stand A18 in hall E5, focussing on the application areas home textiles, technical textiles and garments.

A DORNIER rapier weaving machine type PS will demonstrate its outstanding sturdiness and high reed beat-up force essential for weaving an extremely dense filter fabric utilizing 16 heald frames.

State of the art, high quality suiting fabric production will be performed on a DORNIER air-jet weaving machine type AS processing extremely delicate worsted yarn at an insertion rate of 1.500 meters per minute.

The second rapier weaving machine type PX on the DORNIER stand has Jacquard shedding and is tailor made for the Asian upholstery market. The commonly used nominal width of 190 cm and 8 weft colours in combination with the unsurpassed high flexibility of DORNIER´s positive controlled center transfer make it a highly cost-efficient and versatile machine for the production of home textiles and garments.
