Lonati upgrades all sock-knitting machines

July 15, 2008 (Italy)

Lonati S.p.A, a leading world manufacturer of sock-knitting machines with an annual output of over 8,000 machines, has designed a fully revised range for 2008.

The classic G 5JA men’s sock knitting machine with a flipping dial, which has been marketed all over the world, with one hundred units ready for installation in North-American factories, is now flanked by the newly-designed FH with external automatic toe linking, which can be mounted on all existing models.

This version has greatly simplified sock pick-up and seaming operations, giving clear advantages in terms of production and cost saving. Different versions will be available in summer and 1000 machines will be produced in the first year.

All standard models have been upgraded – 5 and 6 colour single-feed, double feed, filet and 3D.
