Oerlikon Neumag has successfully started up an M&J Airlaid web forming system installed as a retrofit and expansion of an existing nonwoven production line at PGI in Benson, North Carolina, USA.
The Airlaid unit complements PGI’s proprietary Spinlace production by laying a web of pulp fibres onto a nonwoven substrate.
The turnkey supply covered the complete Airlaid system with web forming, as well as all the auxiliary equipment for raw material preparation, complete process air handling equipment as well as the complete process control system.
