JIAM 2008 to wind up on a triumph note

JIMA 2008, the biggest International Apparel Machinery Trade Show, organized by Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA), is coming to a successful end today. This is the first time that this four-day exhibition has been organized outside Japan.

This event at Singapore Expo Hall is displaying a wide range of latest and most advanced machinery and equipment from the leading manufacturers and suppliers of the world, which provides solutions for the apparel and textile industry.

More than 150 companies from nearly 84 countries are participating and displaying their products including China Sewing Machine Association (CISMA), Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber of Commerce.

Organisations like German Garment and Leather Technology Association, Sewing Machines Trade Association Singapore (SMTAS), Taipei Sewing Machines Association (TSMA) and Korea Sewing Machinery Industrial Association (KOSMIA) are also present here.

Asia alone accounts for more than 70 percent of the global production with South East Asia emerging as textile powerhouse, these expos are playing a vital role to boost the sewing machinery industry on a global level.
