Wipe to clean both water and oil-based grime

KB Seiren Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan textile producer Seiren Co., has launched a wipe, which has dual applications. It can eliminate both water and oil-based grime.

The new wipe has been produced from industrial-grade Belima yarn with fibers just one-five microns in diameter and the yarn has 12 times the surface area of typical industrial yarns.

The filament produced from these fibers is just 0.1 decitex in diameter and is so fine that just, 453 grams or just one pound is enough to encircle the globe.

This enables it to wipe away even the finest dust without using any detergent. A blend of hydrophilic nylon and polyester, which has a high affinity for oil, it can remove water and oil based dirt.

‘Master the Art of Innovation’ is the slogan of ITMA 2011

CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has announced that ITMA 2011, to be held in Barcelona (Spain) from 22 to 29 September 2011, will be the world’s most comprehensive, one-stop platform for textile and garment makers. 

Showcasing the entire value chain from spinning to garment making, textile processing, technical textiles, logistics and distribution, the exhibition marks the 60th anniversary of the ITMA brand. The slogan of the 2011 show, ‘Master the Art of Innovation’, underscores CEMATEX’s commitment to help the world’s textile industry innovate and face up to the challenges of globalisation and sustainability, and the event offers manufacturers a vital solutions platform that will keep the industry focused and competitive.

In line with this value proposition, the ITMA 2011 Index of Products has been revised to include the very latest technologies. The garment making and textile processing sector has been expanded to sharpen its focus, and embroidery and braiding equipment now have their own separate sectors.

Highlights to draw global community

To encourage the global textile and garment making community to the event, CEMATEX, together with their organiser MP International, are planning a series of highlights, some of which will be launched as part of ITMA’s 60th anniversary celebrations. 

Among these are special ITMA awards which will pay tribute to top industry achievers, an enhanced Research & Education Pavilion, an ITMA Forum and targeted workshops for knowledge sharing and networking. Detailed information will be released in due course.

DTG K3 printer designed to meet needs of garment decorators

Impression Technology recently launched its latest machine the DTG K3 at the SGIA exhibition in New Orleans with great success. Designed to meet the printing needs of all garment decorators, the DTG K3 boasts an array of new technologies and is the fastest in the A3 class machine category. The DTG K3 is equipped with intelligent print head collision protection system, encoder protection and pressurized ink system.

“Our aim has always been to develop a machine that is a dedicated white ink garment printer, naturally the K3 comes standard with WIMS” says Managing Director Mr. Stephen Richardson. “The culmination of market research, smart design and enhanced engineering methods has allowed us to build and deliver a solution that is far removed from the original basic machine conversions”.

The design concept of the DTG K3 was finished in February of 2009 and selected Beta test sites were established in the later part of the year. The DTG K3 technology is based on its larger sibling the DTG Viper, “we looked at the positive feedback and success of the DTG Viper and decided to make a smaller version of it and implement the option of printing 2 x A3 images in a single pass through the machine”.

Igmatex exhibition draws visitors in hordes

A three day extravaganza ended at the B. M. Birla Institute of Scientific Research ground near Vidhan Sabha, Jaipur on November 8, 2009. Igmatex exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. GM Ambore, Director MSME, Jaipur along Mr. Rajaram Kandoi Secretary GEAR.

Mr. Ambore visited all the stalls at the exhibition and discussed with each and every manufacturers and importers of machines and accessories. He was impressed with the technology displayed here by the premier companies of India. According to him this is a great show in Jaipur for all the exporters in different categories.

Multi-head embroidery machines dominated the 4th Igmatex exhibition. There were six companies, which displayed their multi-head embroidery machines with a range of styles and designs and which also attracted most of the visitors, at the exhibition.

Fashion accessories and tunics evoked positive response with several buyers discussing changes in suitable design. “There is a great variety of sewing, embroidery machines as well as accessories here, and the balance of modern and traditional applications, makes this category interesting”, Mr Rajaram Kandoi, secretary GEAR.

The scale of this fourth edition is larger than the previous three held in previous years, in tune with changing times and needs. Igmatex conducted a survey and prepared a market analyses and came to the conclusion that the development of garment industries in smaller towns is much stronger than the bigger cities.

High speed embroidery machines, industrial sewing machines, Finishing equipments, Testing machines, Knitting machines, Digital printers, CAD/CAM, Lazer cutting machines and all kind of fashion accessories was displayed at the exhibition.

Companies from sewing machines categories have exhibited their machines with environmentally responsive features of every sort. The models on exhibition have been configured with energy-saving servomotors along with automatic sewing machines, which stitch higher-quality seams, in shorter man-hours.

Fabcare, Sunrise, Ramsons and Sunrise introduced a unique array of highly efficient ironing equipments and washing techniques for all kind of units. Knitwear production lines consisted entirely of dry-head sewing machines. This section showcased a knitwear production line consisting entirely of sewing machines integrating dry-head technology.

The theme of Igmatex was Up-gradation this year, with the aim to display innovative and new equipments at the fair. Igmatex exhibition brought together India’s top companies such as Mehala machines Ltd., , Studio next, Inside, Capital Apparels, Allianze embroidery, Dayu, Texsoco, Sunrise Technical services, Sunrise garment Finishing equipments, Rajasthan international, Better home, Coated Interlining P. Ltd., Alp sewing machines, Fabcare garment finishing machines, Rainbow, Simir India, Diamond threads, Madhur Threads, Surya threads, Ramsons, Somaya machines, S. Tex, etc.
